2009 Texas Thunder Youth Track Club Information
Neighborhood Sports, Texas Thunder is a Cedar Park competitive youth track and field club focused on training, and developing young athletes in sprints, hurdles, middle distance and field events. For youth born between 1991 and 2001 who wish to train for and compete in Amateur Athletic Union (AAU) and the Texas Amateur Athletic Federation (TAAF) track & field competitions.

Track Season: April - July Practices: Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays 6pm-7:30pm beginning on April 20 – July 16 at Wiley Middle School track. Athletes can join at any point during the season between April 20 and May 4.
Training: Athletes will practice track and field fundamentals while developing individual abilities. Athletes may choose to try any event offered. Athletes have the option of attending practice meets and competition meets. Competition is not mandatory.
Practice Meets & Competition Meets: Most are on Saturdays beginning in late May & ending in July. There is a ($5-$10) additional fee per meet entered.
Track Club Member Registration: Early Registration ends April 20th. Regular registration will be accepted until May 4. Members enrolling after May 4 may not receive their uniforms in time for the first meet.
Our membership fees cover some of the fees incurred during the season, including memberships for sanctioning organizations (AAU and USATF or TAAF), insurance, competition singlet, t-shirt, coaching, and all practice sessions through the end of the season. These expenses are allowed in accordance to University Interscholastic (UIL), Amateur Athletic Union (AAU), Texas Amateur Athletic Federation (TAAF) rules.
